What is LEAGUE?


League was created to give more opportunities to play ultimate in Fayetteville in game situations while providing a teaching environment to introduce new folks to the sport of Ultimate.
All new comers are welcome as are all experienced players.

The Fayetteville Disc Association hosts a series of Summer and Winter League round robin games and a final tournament complete with T-shirts, tournament party, and league awards.
The teams are created after volunteer captains select their players from the list of current club members in a “draft”. Captains and players then look for new rookie talent to add to their roster, and players can join the league at anytime if they are new and up until the middle of the league games if they are experienced players. New recruits are allowed to join any team they like, but experienced players must be added by draft.
To get on a team, complete the sign up page & join the FDA by paying your membership dues, or come to a league game at least 20 minutes before start time and ask for the League Director who can point you to the team captain who is next in the draft order.

The cost is minimal for league participation, and the affordable FDA membership comes with discounts at local shops, restaurants, and bars.
New recruits, defined as someone that has never played in a league or tournament before, get a freebie on their first league and still receive a T-shirt!
