FDA March 28, 2004 Fayetteville Disc Association General Meeting Date: March 28, 2004 Location: West Mountain Brewery Call to Order @ 6:08 pm Officers In Attendance: President: Phil Watson Vice-President: David Gottschalk Tournament Coordinator/Social Chair: Liz O'Connell Public Relations: Amy Eversole Treasurer: Jon Bitler A. Treasury Report: Bitler Savings -$4,300 - Minus $2,000. Dan Gabor donation Checking - $2,500 - Summer League netted $960. B. Practice fields: No fields until April 18 then play at Asbel C. Springfest: 1. Amy made a motion for no Springfest participation 2. College team would take over. 3. Georges is still cool about giving us the space. 4. Lack of volunteers 5. No FDA springfest booth, spot given to UA ladies D. Art Sale: 1. The Art Sale (organized by Kelly) will be at Arsagaıs at Township and Gregg. It will take place in November and we will provide canvas for the donated art . 2. First deadline for art is first week of October. E. Dan Gabor: 1. Phillip would like to see teams increase from 15 to 20 2. Games will be at Lewis Soccer Complex 3. Fee is $100 4. Will invite UA faculty and department to fields 5. Joy will post info. F. Summer League: 1. Tuesday or Thursday will poll league about day of play and number of games 2. Summer League -July 6 - August 10, tournament 8/21 3. Need to get all signed up. On line or in newsletter? -possible draft for roster, but will probably wait until the roster is up to date and complete. G. Fall League: John moves that we discuss later H. Marshalltown Fields 1. work day on May 1 2. asked for volunteers. (Phil,Henn,John S. ...) I. Harvest 1. Big Daddyıs or Georgeıs 2. Flip off Pirates? some board members want to hear band before booking 3. Discussion about securing contract for facility and beer 4. Need to start securing fields J. New Business: 1. Dan Gabor - discussion of disc design. Kelly will take care of it. - could use Jeremiahıs band at Dan Gabor party - Kelly brought up donation talk 2. League Captains - Would not pay league dues. Motioned and accepted, all in favor. 3. Executive members - Free FDA dues for term. Motioned and Voted: For - 11 vs. Against- 4 Accepted but noted that no current executive members want to be reimbursed. 4. Joy is looking for Observers for College Regionals at Burns Park in North Little Rock. 5. Amy thanks Kelly for Card and Joy for Web page updates! 6. Amy Brings up Happy Hollow demonstration.
