Fayetteville Disc Association Executive Committee Meeting Date: July 15, 2004 Location: West Mountain Brewery Call to Order @ 7:00 or so Officers In Attendance: President: Phil Watson Vice-President: David Gottschalk Public Relations: Amy Eversole Tournament Coordinator/Social Chair: Liz O'Connell Student Representative: Nick I. Phil Watson with field update: a. Sprigging four fields b. additional work on other two fields includes smoothing out and dirt work c.$1,000 for sprigs, $500 for equipment, additional costs (fertilizer) $200, fuel $100 d. Jon makes motion to fund project. Tabled temporarily by Phil based on finding information out about contingency fund practice. II. Bitler brings up the money: FDA has $3,900 III. Can Student Representative Vote?: a. Liz moves yes that rep. has all rights of executive committee. b. Jon seconds c. All vote unanimous IV. Dan Gabor funds: a. Brought in $2,049.52 plus $1,600 at door b. FDA has $3,980 to donate c. FDA could by 40-50 discs left over for around $200 to donate somewhere. d. motion by Jon to buy discs, Amy seconds, unanimous V. Back to field funding a. Jon makes motion to spend up to $2,500 on fields, b. Amy seconds and unanimous vote follows. VI. Discussion of Kids Tri: a. massive construction at FCA to consider b. Lewis and Clark Bike + cash donation, need to check with Adventure Subaru VI. Random thoughts a. Banner at Bitler's house b. Need re-design of FDA disc c. Sanctioning fee d. volunteers in place e. newsletter to come out after summer league - contain: Dan Gabor briefing, phone list, harvest update, art show update.... VI. Phil discusses co-ed tournament fundraiser: a. $175.00 b. August 21 and 22 VII. Summer League Party: a. Big Daddy's b. 6:30 - 7:00 start c. encourage eating and 18 - up VIII. Harvest a. discussion of what and where for party, decided on Big Daddy?s b. bands could include Pumpkin Head, Echo base and something that sounds like 6 House Sprung c.
