FDA EC Meeting
5/27/08

Meeting begins at 7:40PM at La Hacienda.
7:40 PM: Review of Dan Gabor. Made around 900 dollars profit. Looking next year to spend less on a party or have a band and take the door.

7:55 PM: Watch illicit activity better next year as well as possible. Trailer broke into as well but not so sure what all is missing yet.

8:22 PM: Kid’s stuff went well. The local schools really enjoyed us a lot. Ft. Smith went well as. Volunteers for this were Andrea, Dr. Doug, Jacob, Phil, Laura, Tuck, Matt Kern, Sam Kincannon, Michael McLaughlin. We will make sure to thank them on the website.

8:25 PM: Summer League is going to be 8 teams. League will start June 24th, 2008. The sign-up will end June 13th and the draft will be sometime the next week. Tournament is August 9th with regular season ending August 5th.

8:35 PM: George’s is good for Harvest and we can get Punkinhead although there is still some discussion on what they would be charging. There is a possibility of getting the party to be 18+ although, we aren’t sure if it could happen or not. We also are going to be responsible for getting a DJ in the front part and/or another band for that part. Might also need to get an opener for Punkinhead although not sure on that. If we have to, perhaps save money by getting another band but will be checking into that as well.

8:55 PM: Get a newsletter out by the first of July. General meeting set for August 24th. We need to find sponsors for summer league shirts as quickly as possible. Some ideas are to get Punkinhead and George’s to put up some money so that will cover some of their cost for Harvest and give them 5 months of advertising. Other places mentioned and need to be checked out.
