Summer League Discussion a. New Dates! 6/15 - 7/17 b. Tournament on 7/17 c. Need Captains! d. Looking for 6 teams/Play 2 games a night e. Phil will find a Summer League party location. Will run from 6pm until they start to collect cover. f. Need summer league design quickly. Dan Smith may have one? II. Dan Gabor a. Evil Wayne is taking care of business b. Party is at the Gypsy on Dickson St. III. Not yet prime time players a. Need new parents to submit baby photos/names/dates and weight for next newsletter. IV. Fields At Marshalltown a. Have plenty of vol. to help work on fields but could use more b. Phil asked for funds to cover sprigs and fertilizer and costs for first three fields. Sprigs would run $250 - $400 per field plus $500, fertilizer $300 c. Motion was made by Amy to approve $1500 for fields, second by Jon. d. Vote was 4-0 for approval of funds upon receiving an estimate/bill of work in writing from Phil. e. Need to consider purchasing additional parts for pumps and irrigation system to get it up and running. f. Work will continue on 3 fields to get them ready for Harvest. Work will continue on the other 3 fields but may not be up to quality of first 3 fields. They will not receive the initial sprigs. V. Funds a. Checking - $1,361.75 Saving - $2,820.71 b. $2,000 donation has been made to Dan Gabor Scholarship to cover past donations. $800 has been spent to cover cost of this years Dan Gabor tournament. c. Bitler recommends spending only $2,800. to leave operating funds for additional tournament and league play in case any fall in sponsorship funds. VI. College Representative A. Nick has not been present! VII. Kids Tri a. Jon and Amy met with FAC. b. New course is being layed out c. Date for Kids Tri is 9/11 VIII. Meeting adjourned at 9:00pm
