FDA EXECUTIVE COMMITTE MEETING #2

I. OLD BUSINESS

A. WINTER LEAGUE --- 1/19 to 2/22
Liz O'Connell is League Chairperson
	1. Asbell Fields w/second option being Springdale Industrial Fields in 
case of bad weather (we never could get in direct contact with the owners of 
this land to formally get permission to play here, but they were phoned several 
times and left messages by Amy P.)
Call Bill Rogers 872-2222 w/Springdale Chamber of Commerce to get name and 
number of the landowner.
	2. Tournament on 02-22-2003 at Asbell 10:30am
	3. Party @ George's @ approx. 6:00pm ---- Suzie Winn is in charge of party
	4. T-Shirts:  EC picked design today
		a. Beth to e-mail Scott w/t-shirt design and Scott will forward to 
BSW Advertising to get printed shirts.
		b. Beth and Scott to contact Pesto Cafe, Liquor World, Fleet feet, 
and West Mt. for donations for cost of t-shirts.  Each business will be asked to 
donate $125.00 to $250.00 for name and logo on back of shirts.
		c. Scott to bring t-shirts to first day of Winter League.

B. MEMBERSHIP CARDS
	1. Beth, Scott, Wendy Mae & Stacey Whitley to contact Grub's, Ozark Brew 
Pub, Pesto Cafe, Arsaga's, Dark Star, & West Mt. Brew Pub for discounts.
	2. Beth to complete cards and bring to Winter League to five to persons 
who have paid in full all dues.
	3. May be a good idea to put our web site on membership cars (if not done 
already).

C. FDA PHONE LIST.... Beth to compile updated phone #s and e-mail addresses from 
Captain Lists from Winter League.
She will distribute these in the second FDA newsletter or at tournament party.

D. BANK ACCOUNT.... Wendy Mae and Scott will change over the account this week.

E. NEWSLETTER: should be ready to hand out by Winter League per Beth.
Beth to add a section thanking all persons who put in extra work to help out 
FDA; Sam Dodd and Joy Endicott, namely!!

F. DAN GABOR
1. Lewis Complex has been reserved for Memorial Day weekend.
2. Amy P. to request bathroom facilities from the city.
3. Wendy Mae will contact JOE FENNEL of JOSE'S for donation money for the 
tourney.
4. WHERE DID TEH FDA GET THE BIG CHECK THAT WAS IN THE PAPER??
(when money was actually passed over to the Geology dept.) 
When did the picture get taken and who set it up?  Wendy to contact Amy E. about 
this 
****Beth has offered to take the photo if it is on a day that is convenient for 
her; otherwise, it may take awhile for the FDA to book a photographer.

G. MARSHALLTOWN FIELDS
1. Need to spread seed ASAP; there are five bags of fescue/bermuda mix seed in 
the trailer.
2. Top soil was not stolen; Wayne stated that topsoil was respread last year. 
3. Lance's father may allow us to use his grater to groove the fields before we 
lay seed; Amy has left message with Lance for him to contact her with this info.
4. If we can't use Lance4's father's grater, we can rent one from Hug and Hall 
for approx. $40.00 per day.  Contact Wayne if needed for further info.
5. Ned to get some hay to lay over the seed to maximize irrigation.
6. Field Manager for the City of Fayetteville is Terry.  The City of 
Fayetteville does their own fieldwork and has opted NOT to assist FDA with 
fieldwork as we have been unable to get the ball rolling in the past and they 
have a full plate of fieldwork already.  
The City uses BASIC CONSTRUCTION for major construction-type work.  We will need 
to contact Mr. Pennio before doing any major construction.
7. GERTIE:  Wayne started it last year; it ran then.  Wayne has the key to the 
lock.  The fuel filter was stolen and there is no battery.  It must have these 
things to work, not necessarily to sell.
Most persons will want to get it to work before they buy it.  We can put another 
add in the Starr Shopper.  Sell for $500.00 OBO.  
Parts needed for Gertie: 350 Chevy short block fuel filter and car battery.  
We will keep the pipe.
8. We may want to contact the person we bought Gertie from to see if he knows 
anymore who would want to buy it. 
His name is in records that Wendy has.
9. Scott Letts will phone U of A grad program to see if any grad students would 
want to help with our fields project.
Beth will phone Mandy and/or Rachel.

II. NEW BUSINESS
A. Wendy to open e-mail account fayettevilleultimate@yahoo.com

B. Springfest:  Wendy will phone the city about reserving the space in front of 
George's.

C. Account Balances

3. Tractor Loan	=$3134.00 We will keep making monthly payments.
