FDA Executive Committee
Meeting minutes December 18th, 2000
Meeting called to order at 7:30pm

Minutes from From November 6th, 2001
Treasurer¹s report (JB) - Account balance 4041.00. Merchandise to still
be counted. all outstanding debts have been settled except porta-pottie
circumstance still pending. To be collected: a) $250 from UPA, b)$150 from
John Schmuecker for harvest moon. memberships include 85 members current
till December 31st,2000; 10 current members.
Standing Committees:
Fields (PAW) - Phil reported there are still a couple of months till
seeding season. He has been talking to the city, Lindsey, and Sweetser
about equipment for moving dirt and seed. We need tractors for a minimum of
1 week. Rye seed is on the field presently, but Bermuda seed is
recommended. With present equipment we can seed three fields at a time.
Michelle asked about drawing a a timeline and procuring volunteers for the
work. Phil believes there is is plenty of time to start by February, and
even if we used the fields during winter league, they would still be bare.
he recommended that wo play on the less developed area of Marshall Town. MM
moved not to use the good fields at marshall town for winter league.
Seconded by BL. Unanimously passed. Phil concluded by stating the next
step would be moving dirt and leveling dirt to different areas. We will not
need to move any dirt offsite.
Adopt a park (WR) - No present information on this program is available
due to winter weather. WR volunteered to help contact the city and arrange
for work as soon as it is warm.
Newsletter (MM) - requests that all officers have newsletter articles on
time foe publication. There will be four publications - winter league,
summer league, Dan Gabor, and Harvest Moon. all members will receive a copy
of the newsletter by U.S. mail. the newsletter will be proofread. Motion
made by PAW to use regular main al the primary source foe all FDA official
business. seconded by MM. Discussion made that it would not be the only
medium for information. Con - BL, JB; pro - MM, PAW, & WR.
Web site -As of now, there are two main sites foe ultimate in
Fayetteville. The ³official² site will be maintained by Ben Welch-Bolen and Joy
Endicott. A new phone list will be compiled with the list of members from
members from winter league.
Winter league (BL)) - Six captains have been selected: himself, Lance
Coleman, Will By-god, Kevin Benoch, and Amy Unger. Draft to be held at BL¹s
house on January 4th,2001. BL will get sponsors and design together first
thin when he returns from Philly on December 31st, 2000. Where to play
would be left up to BL and PAW due to weather.
Dan Gabor (WR) - Nothing started yet.
Unfinished business:
Damaged pipe (PAW) - Reported there is approximately ten to fifteen feet
of 20¹ aluminum pipe that is not usable of sellable except for scrap.
Insurance money (PAW) - there is no insurance money receivable
Storage of FDA stuff (PAW) - Storage of pipes and engine still being
checked on.
New Business
fundraising (MM) - Checking with smoothies inc. and believes projects
should reach at least $1000 the be worth our effort. Phil stated we need at
least $4500 for fields. Agreed we all need to come up with more fundraising
ideas.
