Executive Meeting minutes 7/17/02
Call to order - @ 7:07 p.m., Tiny Timıs Pizza / West Mt. Brewery
Approval of agenda for 7/17/02 EC meeting - passed unanimously
Approval of minutes from 05/15/02 EC meeting - passed unanimously
Treasurerıs Report - Biter -
Current balance is 7001.39 total. Outstanding : $5,300 on tractor loan;
we owe J. Schmuecker $30.31 (springfest condiments).
Bitler is still
collecting summer league dues, they are due by tournament.
Fundraisers - Art Auction - hasnıt sold anything yet. Amy to contact
Kellie for update.
Youth Triathlon - Amy - we have lots of business sponsors; proctor and
gamble are donating stuff for goodie bag. Stacey Whitley and Rodney gordon
are on committee with Amy E. Joe Garrett, Will Rogers, and Jon Bitler also
assisting.
Motion made to allot up to $500 for goodie bags to Amy. Passed
unanimously.
VP Report - Lance -
Adopt - a - park projects - Still trying to contact Lisa for next work
date.
Marshalltown Project - Lance bought seed - $249.00, need to get discer
and till up field 5 and 6. Lanceıs dad may let us use his, Lance to
contact. August 25th decided on for FDA workday at Marshall Town fields.
Practice fields - Lance to get form filled out for fields after summer
league.
Lance to be gone from July 27th - Aug. 12th on honeymoon.
Tournament Coordinators Report - Bygod -
DGMSSUT O02 - Motion to sell leftover DGMSSUT O02 discs to FDA @ cost.
passed unanimously.
Need to contact Dr. Zac to find out a good date to
present check. Will proposed that we have a masters tournament the day
after DGMSSUT next year. Tabled until next tourney.
Summer league - All going well. Wayne to get party arranged. Georgeıs
to take care of band, just get keg donated. there will be an all-star game
between semis and finals. 3 men and 1 woman from teams that are out - game
to 11.
Harvest Moon - Lance to meet with TDıs (Liz O and John Schmuecker) in
mid August. Start asking for volunteers.
Party bands - Underground Muse
Project (free), Mothership (free), Gamble Brothers ($1000 + hotel rooms),
Alligator Dave and the couch band.
Public Relations Report - Wayne -
Newsletter - Next news letter to have updated phone list. Articles due
September 13th, in mail by 19th.
Web site - To be updated with current Summer League information.
Old business
Engine & pump - Amy E to put ad in Star Shopper on Thursday the 18th.
New Business
Daniel Marsh submitted letter that we have a photo contest and have a
party to announce the winner. Proposal tabled, but details to be worked on.
Autumnfest? - Voted unamouiusly to not participate.
