Meeting minutes February 27, 2002

Call to order - 2/ 27/02 @ 6:20 p.m., Tiny Tims Pizza / West Mt. Brewery
Approval of agenda for 2/27/92 EC meeting - passed unanimously
Approval of minutes from January 30, 2001 EC meeting - passed unanimously

Treasurers report (JB) - Current balance is $10,381.76.
Membership dues / cards - All distributed during winter league.
Winter league and FDA fees all collected - totaled $1,800.
Fundraising ideas -
Art Show - Kellie had idea to have one piece of art auctioned every month at block street Arsagas. committee liked idea and gave permission to Kellie to persue project.
Kids triathlon - motion made to do more research and bring in Chip, race director, for further questions.


VP Report - Lance -
Marshalltown project - Lance wants to get storage trailer moved asap. No ground work till April due to unpredictable weather conditions. Adopt a Park - Article to be put in newsletter : April 6th City of Fayetteville to be planting trees at Walker park from 9 am to 10 am. Our help would be greatly appreciated. Also on Sunday, April 17th, at 2 pm after practice there will be a trash pick-up at Walker park. City fields request - We will fill out a request to reserve Walker park for summer pick up games on Tuesday and Thursday from 5 pm - 9 pm and on Sundays from 11 am to 3 pm
Adopt a Park - Lance is contacting Lisa Paschal at the city tomorrow.

Tournament Coordinators Report - Bygod -
Winter league - All went well. Congrats to Titanium.
DGS7 02 - City is having soccer tourney so DGS7 will be at the fields off huntsville rd. - the ÒgoatÓ fields. Wayne given authority to change tourney fees Harvest Moon - John Schmuecker to be TD this year. Harvest to be held weekend of November 2nd due to football game the weekend before. Will checking into JRs theater as a party venue. Also start looking for bands.

Public Relations Report - Wayne -
DGS7 01 scholarship payment - Check passed by Amy, Wayne, and Jon. Television interview to be put on website. Total amount was $1550.00.
Newsletter - Articles due March 1st, newsletter mailed March 4th.
Web site - DGS7 section updated, posting pics from winter league.
Springfest - Checking to see if George's will let us use their electricity. Wayne to talk to cindy about booth location. Can we sell stuff in georgeÕs?
Insurance on tractor - need insurance for value of loan, looking into insurance agents.

Old business
$250.00 UPA check - check is on its way.
Michael Watson revisited - Paying him total debt owed : $700
