You are hereby officially notified of the intent to amend the bylaws of the FDA at 
the General Meeting to be held Sunday, June 4th, 2000.  Location TBA

Amendments Proposed:

Amendment 1, Proposed by Jeff Fox
Article V, Section 3 - 1. Officer Term Limits
Officers may hold any single officer's position for a consecutive period of not more 
than 2 years.  Officers may be elected to a any new position on the Executive 
Committee, and may be re-elected to a previous position after one year out of that 
office.

Amendment 2, Proposed by Wayne Ramsey
Article V, Section 2 -1.  Nominations
Any current member may be nominated for an executive position without regard to 
race, color, religion, age, sex, or national origin.  Members may be nominated for only 
one position on the Executive Committee at a time and must accept or decline the 
nomination before that office's nominations are closed.

Please attend this meeting. Other Proposals for Harvest and Fields as well as 
Membership will be addressed. Notices of Location and time will be forthcoming.

As a reminder:

ARTICLE I - NAME AND PURPOSE
Section 1 - The name of the club shall be Fayetteville Disc Association.
Section 2 - The primary purpose of the club shall be to facilitate the awareness of and participation 
the game of Ultimate in our community, but shall also include other purposes such as:
*	To maintain "Spirit of the Game" as athletes and as administrators;
*	To promote the growth of Ultimate in our community;
*	To own or lease property for club uses;
*	To provide a medium for the exchange of Ultimate information;
*	To develop and maintain a fraternal interest among Ultimate players and other recreational 
interests;
*	To act within the above principles and transact any and all lawful business for the successful 
operation of the club and in the general public interest.

ARTICLE II - MEMBERSHIP
Section 1 - Membership shall be open to any and all enthusiasts of the sport of Ultimate, conditioned 
only on the timely payment of the membership dues in such amounts as may be determined by the 
Executive Committee from time to time.  Membership in the club and the opportunity to participate in 
the club's activities shall be provided on an equal basis without regard to race, color, religion, age, 
sex, or national origin.
Section 5 - The amount of dues, as well as the time for their payment shall be determined by action of 
the Executive committee.

ARTICLE VI - MEETINGS
Section 5 - An attendance of 20% of the membership and all the Officers at any duly called meeting 
shall constitute a quorum.  Any formal action taken at any meeting of the membership shall require a 
majority vote of those members present.  Each member age 18 and older shall be entitled to one vote.  
A member may send their vote by proxy, provided it is supplied in writing to the Vice-
President/Secretary prior to the meeting.

ARTICLE IX - AMENDMENTS
Section 1 - These Bylaws may be amended, repealed, or altered in whole or in part by a vote of the 
Executive Committee or a majority vote of the members of the club at the Annual Meeting or at any 
meeting of the club, provided thirty days notice of intent to amend is published.
